Are you a fan of any of the programs produced by Fox? Maybe you did miss out on one of the episodes and just have to check it out? The problem is however that when you try to watch it from abroad you will get the following error message: “The video you are attempting to watch is only available to viewers within the US, US territories, and military bases.”
There are tons of shows that we like on Fox, for example: American Dad, Bob’s Burgers, Bones, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dads, Family Guy, Glee, Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, The Mindy Project, New Girl, Raising Hope, The Simpsons, Sleepy Hollow and The X Factor. All of these can be seen on the website of Fox, but if you try to watch from outside the United States of America you will see the following message.
To get rid of this message you need to make everyone on the Internet believe you are located within the US, and a way of doing so is by grabbing hold of an American IP address, which can easily be fixed using a VPN service.
Watch Fox online using a VPN
As we are writing this article from Europe we have used the VPN services of ExpressVPN. If you read around you can see that there are tons of other VPN providers as well that could be recommended for the sake of getting an American IP, but if everyone used the same service, that would not be good either. So, in this case, and as I tried this to write this article, I used ExpressVPN and it worked perfectly.
When using a VPN service you connect to a server in the USA, and when the connection is set up, all your traffic will run through that server, meaning that all your Internet traffic will seem to originate from the United States, and not from your actual location.
To get it working you need to visit the website of ExpressVPN and sign up for a VPN subscription (for 1 month, 6 months or for 12 months). When you have signed up you download their VPN client, connect to a server in the United States, restart your browser and visit the Fox website again. You should now be able to watch whatever program available online from Fox. So, just find the chocolate, chips and some good stuff to drink, because you are about to watch Fox and your favorite TV shows from abroad.
