The first two seasons of Designated Survivor have been great to watch, and luckily, they have designated to create a third season as well. The upcoming season will be a Netflix original worldwide, making sure all Netflix users can stream it all across the globe.
In Designated Survivor, we meet Kiefer Sutherland in the role as the President of the United States. He wasn’t elected President, but he was the only survivor after an attack on the United States. It is a very interesting series, and it is a mixture of a political drama, with a taste of action and a small piece of 24.
The short synopsis of the third season of Designated Survivor is:
“President Kirkman (Sutherland) will face a political reality… campaigning. What does it take to make a leader? What price will he be willing to pay? This season will explore today’s world of campaigning, smear tactics, debates, campaign finance and “fake news.” Democracy, as we know it, will hang in the balance.”
We have a lot to look forward to with the third season of Designated Survivor coming to Netflix exclusively. The first two seasons of Designated Survivor has only been available in certain Netflix regions, but this autumn, they will arrive on Netflix in the USA and Netflix in Canada as well.
The executive producer of Designated Survivor, Mark Gordon, said:
“The continuation of the show via Netflix is a win-win for all involved. The story of President Kirkman and those around him has not been fully told and we look forward to working with our new partner in continuing the show for a global audience.”
Are you looking forward to watching Kiefer Sutherland as President Kirkman in the third season of Designated Survivor as well? I am for sure looking forward to it. But, before I get so far, I have to finish the first season of Jack Ryan, the brand new Amazon series.
