Did you know that the Summer Olympics will start in seven days from now? Maybe not! But, on August 3rd the Summer Olympics will have a slow start in several competitions.
The Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony will only be held on August 5th in Rio, but already two days already female football players will play their first match in the Rio Olympics and several other activities will also start. There will of course not be given out any medals at this time yet, but it will be a soft start on the entire Olympics.
On August 4th the male football players will get started as well, and then on August 5th the big opening ceremony will be held and on August 6th already the first medals will be handed out!
Important happenings during the Summer Olympics
- On August 3rd at 17.00 the first football match will be played between Sweden and South Africa.
- On August 4th Denmark will play versus Iraq in the first football match for men. The second match to be played on the same day is the match between Brazil and South Africa.
- On August 5th at 23.15 the opening ceremony will be held in Rio
- On August 6th around 12.30 the first gold medal will be handed out in women’s rifle competition.
