We have just looked through the list of content coming to HBO Now, Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix in April, and these are the highlights!
It has been a long and cold winter, but as I am writing this article, the sun is shining and it is about 10 Celsius outside. That is very nice, and hopefully, it will get even warmer within shortly. But, April will give me some reasons to stay inside, and the two main reasons can be found on HBO Now and Hulu (or maybe on Hulu alone).
Among the movie highlights in April 2018, one can be found on Amazon Prime, and that is The Killing of a Sacred Deer. This movie is a thriller and it has a special story. Some love the movie, while others find it to be boring and forgettable. But, most people I have been speaking with said they had the movie on their mind for several days after watching it. And what is incredible is that it will be available on Amazon Prime already (normally Amazon Prime is slow to bring new movies).
Another movie that I look forward to is The Hitman’s Bodyguard. The movie can already be seen on Canadian Netflix, but if you do not have access to that, the movie will come to HBO Now in April 2018. There are some other movies coming as well, but the grand highlights of April are TV series.
Westworld season 2
The second season of Westworld will premiere on HBO on April 22nd. Millions of fans have waited for this premiere, and we are all excited to see what will happen in this fantasy universe as the story goes on. You can watch the second season of Westworld on HBO now, but if you do not have access or a subscription to HBO Now, you can also stream Westworld season 2 on Hulu (if you have the HBO add-on package in addition to your normal Hulu subscription.
Personally, I am not a big Westworld fan, so I do not look forward to this (really), but I know millions of other people do (and some of my family members as well), so this is still on my list of stuff to look forward to in April 2018.
The Handmaid’s Tale season 2
One of the giant surprises in 2017 was the fantastic first season of The Handmaid’s Tale. I had never imagined that a “Blessed Be” and a slow series like The Handmaid’s Tale could catch my attention, but it did. And now I am waiting for the second season to arrive. I have been watching this with my wife, and at first I thought that she would only like it, and I would snore my way through it, but it was something about the entire atmosphere of The Handmaid’s Tale that made me like it as well. That is quite a miracle, but since we finished the first season, I have been waiting for the second to arrive. And, on April 25th it will come to Hulu.
Will we get access to all episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale season 2 at once?
I waited a while to watch the first season, and thus I could stream it all at once. But, if you plan on binge-watching the second season of The Handmaid’s Tale, you will have to wait, as we will only be served one episode a week. So, either you make the new episode the highlight of the week, or you wait for ten weeks, and you will be able to watch the entire season at once!
What will happen in the second season of The Handmaid’s Tale?
We do not know a lot about the season, but according to Elisabeth Moss “season two is going to be bad too, really dark – it’s going to get worse“. We also know that we will get to know more about life in the colonies, the place where infertile women and Gilead opposers are sent to clean up toxic waste.
Elisabeth Moss also promised that the second season of The Handmaid’s Tale will surprise us in many ways, so I simply can’t wait for the premiere on Hulu on April 25th.
