We have been waiting for the seventh season of The Blacklist to start for a very long time. We have had lots of questions, and after the first episode of The Blacklist season 7, named Louis T. Steinhil, we have already received a lot of answers.
The final episode of The Blacklist season ended with Raymond Reddington being stabbed in Paris. Dembe feels confused because Raymond wanted to go alone, something that means that he felt safe. But, he hasn’t returned after one week, and now he is getting desperate. So, what has really happened to Raymond Reddington? We are about to find out!
What happened in the first episode of The Blacklist season 7?
If you haven’t seen the episode yet, do not read this text… it will destroy the fun! But, if you want to know some of my thoughts related to the episode, please read on!
So, Raymond Reddington was stabbed by Katarina Rostova. But, when he wakes up, he is told to be in a hospital under treatment. He is supposed to have lost his ability to walk due to the accident and being beaten by other people on the street, but it is all a part of a giant setup made possible with the help of Louis T. Steinhil. And who ordered the setup? Katarina Rostova, of course!
The goal with the setup is to get information from Raymond Reddington, and most likely, information about Elizabeth Keen. But, Raymond Reddington isn’t a stupid person, and thus he manages to discover what’s going on and get some more information. However, when it all comes to an end, he is still a captive of Katarina Rostova who is starting to withdraw blood from his body in order to torture him and to get the information she wants.
Katarina also shows a few signs of compassion. After all, the first method she tried was to get information from Raymond without really torturing him (just making him believe that he was really hurt). But, she promises us in the end that the upcoming method will really hurt him.
It is also important to know that Elizabeth Keen told her colleagues that she was the one who sent Raymond to prison (indirectly), and she believes that Raymond is tortured to give away information about Katarina Rostova (when the truth is that he is tortured to give away information about Elizabeth Keen).
Was this a good start on The Blacklist season 7?
I would say that it was a very relaxed start. It wasn!t a highlight, and it didn’t contain a lot of action that I will remember for a long time. But, I liked the way Raymond discovered the plot against him, and how he managed to almost escape.
The Blacklist season 7 episode 2 promo: Louis T. Steinhil Conclusion
A few hours after the premiere, the promo for the next episode was released on YouTube. The promo isn’t really saying us a thing, except for the fact that Katarina is draining Raymond for blood in order to get the information she wants. And yes, that is everything we get to know.
