There are way more people actually watching these shows, but those numbers are of people watching the actual show live on TV during its first broadcast.

But, what about Game of Thrones? The first episode in season one started with more than 2 million viewers. The final episodes of season one ended with more than 3 million viewers. In other words, it showed a curve going upwards already in the first season.

It is easy to see how people got addicted to Game of Thrones because the second season started with almost 4 million viewers. and the second season ended with more than 4 million viewers.

The third season of Game of Thrones started with around 4,5 million viewers and finished off with more than 5,4 million viewers.

And then came Game of Thrones season 4 which broke all records and started with almost 6,5 million viewers. But, people didn’t get tired of the episodes throughout the season, because the season finale hit more than 7 million viewers.

But, what about Game of Thrones season 5? It hit another milestone in the premiere as it reached exactly 8 million viewers in the United States. The number of viewers dropped throughout the season and had an average of around 7 million viewers, before the season finale reach 8,11 million viewers.

Game of Thrones season 6 was the first season to not hit an all time high on its premiere. It had 7,95 million viewers in the USA, but considering the numbers of the previous season, those are still great numbers. The average amount of visitors throughout the season was better than those of season 5, giving an average of more than 7,5 million viewers. The season finale hit an all time high again with almost 9 million viewers.

But, what about Game of Thrones season 7? This was the first season to run with less than 10 episodes, and it hit a magic number in the first episode. It had more than 10 milllion viewers in the USA. The next 5 episodes had around 10 million viewers each, before the season finale that hit more than 12 million viewers. That was an awesome number.

How many people will watch Game of Thrones season 8 on HBO in the USA in 2019? Time will show, but I believe they will break all records. People have been binge watching the previous seasons, and a larger number than ever before are looking forward to see how the story will end as Game of Thrones season 8 comes to the screens in April 2019. I dare not guess anything, but I still believe they will see all time high numbers of viewers, especially for the first and the last episode of season 8.
