Network Ten or commonly known just as Channel Ten is an Australian commercial broadcasting network which is the fourth largest and oldest Australian free-to-air television network just behind Nine Network, Seven Network and ABC.
The current Australian program of Network Ten consists several series and various shows such as Shark Tank, Wonderland, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, The Project, The Living Room and so on. Channel Ten offers the best available productions in high quality which are also available on the site of the channel.
So what are the best shows and series running this autumn on Tenplay?
The Odd Couple
The first show we would like to write about is The Odd Couple. The Odd Couple is an American multi-camera comedy television series which originally premiered in February in 2015 on CBS. The Odd Couple television sitcom is based on the 1956 play, The Odd Couple by Neil Simon. The story of the show revolves around the excitement of two friends, who meets in college and becomes best friends. Years later the two close friends have to move in together again which leads again to several fun and joyful moments. The main characters in the series are Felix Unger and Oscar Madison, the two friends, who met in college and quickly became best friends, Oscar is the messy and untidy sportswriter and sports radio personality, who has his own sports radio show from his apartment, Felix is on the other hand is really clean and extra tidy, he is a professional photographer, who is separated from his wife Ashley and after their divorce he gets jealous when Ashley starts dating again, Danielle or just Dan, who is the co-worker of Oscar on the radio show, she has a really strong personality and she is known to be smart and beautiful at the same time, Emily, who is one of the neighbors of the boys from upstairs and who has a crash on Felix and Teddy, who is the agent of Oscar, who always encourages Felix to step out of his comfort zone. The series generally got good feedback and positive reviews from the critics.
Bob´s Burgers
The next series from the list is the Bob´s Burgers. Bob´s Burgers is an American animated sitcom for adults which was created by Loren Bouchad. The story of the series revolves around the adventures of the family Belchers, who run their own business in North America. The main characters in the show are Bob, who runs a restaurant on Ocean Avenue somewhere in the United States, Linda, who is Bob´s wife, Tina, who is the oldest daughter, Gene, who is the only son of Bob and Linda and Louise, who is the youngest. All the three children and Linda help out in different ways in the restaurant for Bob. The series generally got good reviews and feedback from the critics and it was ranked as one of the top 60 Greatest TV Cartoons of All Time in 2013 by TV Guide as well. The show was also nominated to several awards including the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. The new season of the series already premiered in September 2015.
House of Lies
The third show we would like to write more about is the House of Lies. The House of Lies is an American comedy drama television series which was created by Matthew Carnahan. The story of the series is based on the book, House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time which was written by Martin Kihn. Marty Kann is in the centre of the show, who is a manipulative, immoral and cold management consultant. The series follows the personal and business life of Marty, who is willing to do everything to close a deal. The other characters in the show are Jeannie van der Hooven, who is the partner of Marty Kaan at the Kaan & Associates, Clyde Oberholdt, who is a member of Marty´s consultant pod and Jeremiah Kaan, who is the father of Marty. The television series, House of Lies got generally good feedback and reviews from the critics and it was also nominated for several awards including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor TV Series – Comedy or Musical in 2012 which Don Cheadle won, Primetime Emmy Awards and so on. The fifth season of the series will premier sometime in 2016.
Madame Secretary
Madame Secretary is the fourth show from our list that is available on Tenplay. Madame Secretary is an American political drama television series that was created by Barbara Hall. The first episode of the first season of the series premiered originally on CBS in September in 2014. The story of the series follows Dr. Elizabeth Faulkner McCord, who is a college professor and also a former CIA analyst who got promoted to United States Secretary of State. McCord worked as a CIA analyst for more than twenty years before she became a college professor of Political Science at the University of Virginia and before she was chosen for the position as Secretary of State. Other characters in the series are Dr. Henry McCord, who is the husband of Elizabeth and who is also a university professor of theology at Georgetown University, Russel Jackson, who is the White House Chief of State, Blake Moran, who is the assistant of Elizabeth and so on. The second season of the series was scheduled in the beginning of 2015 so the second season will premier on 4th October 2015. The show got generally good reviews and positive feedback from the critics.
American Horror Story
The last show from our list is the American Horror Story. American Horror Story is an American horror television series that was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The first season of the show premiered in October in 2011. So far the series has four seasons, the first season of the show takes place in Los Angeles in California in the United States and it revolves around the adventures of a family that moved into a house that is haunted by the old tenants of the house. The second season of the show takes place in Massachusetts in 1964 and it follows the events of the patients of the mental institution. The story of the third season of American Horror Story takes place in 2013 in New Orleans in Louisiana and follows a group of witches and fourth season of the show, Freak Show, takes place in 1952 in Jupiter in Florida and it revolves around one of the few remaining freak shows in the United States. The fifth season of American Horror Story is scheduled to premier on 7th October 2015 on television. All the four seasons of American Horror Story got generally good feedback and positive reviews from the critics.
