Gone Girl is an American psychological thriller that was released in 2014 and it was directed by David Fincher. The movie is an adaption of the global best seller novel, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. The main characters in the movie are Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, Rosamund Pike as Amy Elliott-Dunne, who is Nick’s missing wife, Neil Patrick Harris as Desi Collings, who is Amy’s ex-boyfriend, Tyler Perry as Tanner Bolt, who is the attorney of Nick, Carrie Coon as Mango “Go” Dunne, who is Nick’s twin sister and so on.
Gone Girl follows the story of Nick Dunne who one day, exactly on the day of the 5th wedding anniversary reports the police that his beloved and beautiful wife has gone missing. After the police found some clean blood stains the conclusion is clearly made, Amy got murdered. Nick is under a lot of pressure as the police find evidence of domestic disputes and financial troubles and to top, this Nick lately became lazy, uninterested, unfaithful and distant which was noticed by everyone in his surroundings. After the mysterious disappearing of Amy, with all the evidence against Nick and his awkward behavior, everyone just wonders if Nick really killed his wife.
Gone Girl generally received positive feedback and reviews from the critics and it also got good rates.
