Are you trying to register for a Venmo account, but you are unable to do so because you need an American registered number. Are you looking for a free SMS provider that will do the job for you, making you able to register an account with a “fake” SMS number?
I have been looking for a solution to this problem for quite some hours, and I have got to say… I haven’t found one. I have tested phone numbers provided by Skype, by Sonetel, and even some of the free SMS services online, but none of them were able to do the job. No matter what I did, I got the message from Venmo that I need to use a valid telephone number.
In other words, I do not know of any temporary SMS service or phone number service online that will help you register for Venmo if you do not have a real American phone number.
I might be wrong, and I do hope I am wrong… but so far, I have not been able to find any solution to the problem.
Do you know a way to get a phone number in the USA that will work with Venmo?
If you know something that I don’t, please write a comment and share your knowledge. I would be really grateful to hear what’s on your mind and how it can be fixed.
This is the same problem that you have with PayPal
The problem you have with Venmo is exactly the same that you have if you try to register an account with PayPal. You will need an American number to get started, but they have clear routines on discovering whether a phone number is a real private number, or some sort of junk number provided by online providers or something else.
It is just a pity that this is what makes it so hard to pay for lots of American services because, without a PayPal or a Venmo account in the USA, you cannot pay for a service like Hulu outside the USA.
I would, as I mentioned, love to hear from you if you have any knowledge on how to fix this.
Thank you for reading!
You can get Hulu using a Hulu gift card, but keep in mind you cannot get promotions with that, or maybe you can, but not when you do a resubscription or a subscription. So, you would have to have an active subscription and pay for further months of subscription using a gift card or just subscribe or resubscribe, but to a regular plan
