If you visit the NordVPN website you will at once see the text: “The World’s Most Advanced VPN.” We like the text and smiled and felt right at home, especially considering the British Parliament in the background, making us feel like as if we were in London.
It makes you feel at home when you see a building you know this well in the background. But, it made us ask a simple question. What would happen if someone visited the NordVPN website from another country? Would they also see the Parliament in the background, or would they see a picture that made them feel at home, just like we did?
So, what did we do? We used a VPN connection to change our IP address, and first we connected to a server in the United States. Take a look at what happened to the picture at the front page once we visited it again.
What do you see? The background picture has changed and this time it is showing a big city with skyscrapers. We are sure lots of Americans would feel at home watching this picture.
But, we weren’t finished yet. What happened when we connected to a server in France? Or maybe a server in Hungary, Australia or Norway. Take a look at the following pictures to see how NordVPN tries to make all their visitors feel at home!
As we visited the website with an Australian IP address we got to see the Opera House in Sydney in the background. An Australian would probably feel at home at once.
As we connected to a VPN server in France and visited the NordVPN website we did expect the Eiffel Tower to show up in the background, but instead we got some peaceful windmills. Could maybe have been a bit more big city/Paris atmosphere with Moulin Rogue, the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees or so on, but still… a French peasant would for sure feel at home!
The Hungarian Parliament might be the most beautiful of all buildings in Hungary and it has quite a lot of similarities to the British Parliament. But, when a Hungarian person visit the NordVPN website and sees the Parliament from their own capital, that is for sure a winner!
Norway isn’t exactly an example of a nation with beautiful buildings, but it is a nation with beautiful nature, so why not welcome Norwegians to the NordVPN website with a nice fjord and some fjord houses?
