Since HBO Now was launched on April 7th in 2015 it has been available only for Apple users. The client could be downloaded from the Apple Store, and this was a result of a contract between Apple and HBO which was valid for three months. The three months have now passed and today we got the news that HBO Now is available to Android users (version 4.2 or higher), for Fire Tablet users and of course to Windows users.
This is a giant step for HBO Now which will experience a big boost in the amount of users as it is no longer an Apple only product. According to their website support for Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick will be made available within shortly.
This great news is coming together with the fact that HBO Just nabbed a total of 126 Emmy nominations, whereof Game of Thrones has been nominated 24 times, just tells us all that if we do not have an HBO Now subscription already, then the time is now to get one!
HBO Now is currently only available in the United States, but you can easily bypass such limitations, and it just turned easier with the introduction of HBO Now for Windows, Android and Fire Tablet users. To do so you need an American IP address, and the best way of getting one is by using PureVPN and their SmartDNS service, or simply using a VPN connection to a server in the United States provided by HideMyAss. Once you have an American IP address or using a SmartDNS solution you will be able to visit HBO Now, sign up and enjoy watching whatever action you want!
